Established by David Schuster in 2005, Designed Outcomes provides design, design direction, and design management to residential clients.  We have successfully completed projects that vary in scale, medium, and level of complexity from the minor, such as color consulting and art installation, to the major, including land planning, home and landscape construction, and interior design in a single program.

Home construction is a long, arduous, emotionally stressful process.  Poor creative decisions lead to costly, inefficient, and disappointing outcomes.  Many home owners find themselves ill equipped to make design decisions.  In addition, they fail to recognize the implications of poorly informed decisions or to anticipate the overwhelming number of decisions that must be made in a timely fashion. 

This observation is not intended to insult the intelligence of our clients but, rather, to point out that there is a unique set of skills that contribute to successful creative outcomes.  These skills include: creative experience, imagination, collaboration, communication, and leadership.

It is not our intention to replace colleagues in architecture and interior design but, rather, to supplement, guide, and support what they bring to the table.  We are Owner Representatives in the creative realm. In simple terms, you may think of us as Creative, General Managers.

The aim is to bring an over-arching design direction and cohesion to the myriad of creative enterprises involved in home construction that best fulfills the home owner’s vision, while minimizing stresses, burdens, uncertainties, and, unintended or unnecessary costs.

From small to large projects we are here to make your creative decisions easier, more rewarding, and more fulfilling.
